Questions before you start

Clear answers, without the sales call.

Does Yardbook have autopay?+

Yardbook can store customer cards and process payments, but the monthly workflow still requires you to generate and deliver invoices, check credits, and initiate eligible card-on-file charges. LawnBills fills that automation gap while keeping every charge and payment record inside Yardbook.

Does LawnBills replace Yardbook?+

No. Yardbook remains your source of truth for customers, jobs, invoices, and payments. LawnBills automates the repetitive monthly billing steps inside your existing account.

Does LawnBills charge customer cards directly?+

No. Saved-card payments are processed through Yardbook so the invoice and payment history stay reconciled there.

What happens when a customer has a credit?+

LawnBills checks for available credits and applies them before attempting any card charge.

What if a customer has no email address?+

LawnBills opens the individual invoice delivery flow and sends the invoice by text when a valid mobile number is available.

What Yardbook features do I need?+

During setup, we guide you through requesting Select Multiple Invoices and Display Apply Credit Button on Invoice List View from Yardbook support if they are not already enabled.

Does my computer need to stay awake?+

A sleeping Windows computer can wake for billing, and a missed task can start after the computer wakes later in the same billing month. LawnBills prevents sleep while billing is active. A powered-off computer cannot run billing; after a longer outage, review the missing period before starting anything manually.

What computers does LawnBills support?+

The launch version supports Windows 10 and Windows 11. A Mac version is not currently offered.

What email setup is required?+

The Windows helper asks for a monitored Gmail address and a Google app password during its one-time installation. The address stays in a current-user local file and Windows protects the app password with DPAPI. LawnBills verifies delivery with an owner-only test email before production is approved.

Where is my Yardbook password stored?+

Only on the paired Windows computer, protected by Windows DPAPI for that user. The username remains in a current-user local file. LawnBills uses the saved browser session first and the protected password only if that session expires. Neither is sent to LawnBills servers. CAPTCHA, MFA, SSO, and other security checks still require you and stop unattended billing safely.

How are desktop helper updates installed?+

Before every scheduled or dashboard-started run, LawnBills checks for a newer helper. Install a new signed Windows setup from LawnBills when an update is required. Automatic code replacement remains off, and billing stops before any action until the required version is installed.

How do I cancel?+

Sign in, open Subscription, and choose Manage or cancel subscription. Cancellation stops the next renewal. Your access continues through the end of the period you already paid for, then the server disables every Yardbook billing action.

What is the refund policy?+

A customer may request one refund within 7 days of their first LawnBills purchase. Requesting it immediately ends LawnBills access, stops scheduled automation, and cancels the subscription. The allowance can be used only once; future purchases and renewals are non-refundable.
