Privacy Policy

LawnBills is software provided by Viking Lawn Care LLC. LawnBills collects the account, configuration, and billing-run information needed to provide the service. This may include your business contact information, setup status, automation settings, invoice identifiers, payment outcomes, exceptions, and audit logs.

Credentials and payment information

Your LawnBills account password is irreversibly hashed with a unique random salt before it is stored. LawnBills does not store or email the password itself. The helper keeps separate Yardbook and owner-email usernames in current-user local files and protects those separate passwords with Windows DPAPI. These details remain on the paired computer and are not accepted or stored by LawnBills servers. Local protection is not absolute: software running as the same Windows user, an administrator, or someone controlling an unlocked session may access them. Use a locked, non-shared Windows account and device encryption. LawnBills does not store raw customer card numbers. Customer card charges occur inside Yardbook through its existing payment integration. LawnBills subscription payments are processed by Stripe.

Diagnostics and support records

To identify account-specific problems, the LawnBills helper may report its version, operating-system version, computer architecture, browser availability, the non-secret status of the local Yardbook login fallback, scheduler status, updater status, last check-in, and error messages. It does not send Yardbook passwords, usernames, login tokens, runner secrets, screenshots, or raw log files through this diagnostic report. Support cases, public contact inquiries, internal troubleshooting notes, customer support emails, safety holds, and owner changes may be retained as part of the account audit history.

Anonymous website measurement

To understand whether the public website is being found and whether visitors reach checkout, LawnBills records page paths, a randomly generated session identifier stored only for the current browser tab, a coarse device category, and the referring website’s hostname. The session identifier is irreversibly hashed before storage. This measurement does not use advertising cookies, collect your IP address in the LawnBills database, or follow you across websites.

How information is used

We use information to operate the automation, prevent duplicate actions, provide reports, maintain security, troubleshoot errors, answer sales and support questions, and improve the public website. We do not sell customer information.

Optional marketing emails

If you explicitly join the LawnBills email list, we store your email address, consent date, signup source, delivery status, and an irreversible unsubscribe-token hash. Resend delivers these emails. Marketing consent is optional, separate from your LawnBills account, and can be withdrawn at any time using the unsubscribe link in every message.

Data retention and choices

Operational and audit records are retained while your account is active and as reasonably necessary for security, legal, and financial recordkeeping. Suppression records may be retained to honor unsubscribe requests. You may request account closure and deletion of eligible data through support.

Service providers

LawnBills relies on service providers for hosting, password-recovery verification, email delivery, payment processing, and error monitoring. They receive only the information needed to perform those services.
